Kenny McLean is our members’ player of the month for March.

The Dons were unbeaten over the month. A drab 0-0 tie at Firhill was sandwiched by two draws with Killie, the latter of the two ending with the dramatic penalty shootout win at Rugby Park in which Kenny converted a penalty in extra time and in the shootout.

The month ending on a more convincing note with back-to-back wins at Pittodrie, 1-0 and 4-1 against Dundee and St Johnstone respectively. Kenny was pivotal in the heart of the midfield.

Hundreds of votes were cast and the Scotland international took 41% of them. Last month’s winner Scott McKenna was second with 22% and penalty hero Freddie Woodman was third with 16%.

One of Kenny’s voters will soon get the chance to present the award to him in person.
